The Story

Grasmere, a plain-fronted derby shoe. Produced in Oxblood Zug Grain featuring Vibram cleated rubber soles and a storm welt for added water resistance. Horween's Zug Grain is a heavy weight leather, tanned from steer hides. It is tanned using traditional methods for which Horween is most famous. The word Zug itself dates back over 100 years and refers to a leather and print that was tanned in Switzerland. Since then, many tanneries have adopted the type of raw material and the traditional tanning process required to produce this remarkable leather. Its handle is thick, tough and extremely hardwearing. Horween’s Zug Grain is a robust leather that requires considerable breaking in, but once it has moulded to your foot, it will stand the test of time and age well.
